In 2012, the Pistachio Festival gave us the opportunity to realize something that seemed utopian to those lacking the necessary knowledge. We are an interactive artwork with achievements that unfold globally — in the physical, digital, and phygital realms.

MetaEVENTs

0. When you attend an event, you know that at some point, it will end — just like coffee runs out, your meal finishes, working hours stop, vacations conclude, and monetary units dissolve. This is due to ignorance.

Example

1. The code of nature creates and recreates. The code of humans is sterile — everything is consumed (beginning – middle – end). Aegina pistachios are smiling, edible fruits. The ancient people of Aegina created the first commercial currency in human history. We connected our achievements 1:1 with an Aegina pistachio. Since 2012, one of our works equals one pistachio. When you eat a pistachio, you eat our work — but the achievements are not consumed; they are perpetuated.
